Join the Journey to a Sustainable Future: Crich Area Community Energy Visioning Project

Are you passionate about the future of your local landscape?

Do you want to play a part in shaping how energy is generated in Crich, Whatstandwell, and Fritchley?

Here's your chance to be involved in an exciting community initiative that aims to create a sustainable energy vision for our area!

Community-Led Energy Solutions

The countryside charity CPRE, in collaboration with Transition Crich, is hosting a series of three workshops aimed at engaging the local community in envisioning a renewable energy future. These workshops are designed to gather insights and ideas from residents on how the local landscape can accommodate new renewable energy projects. By participating, you'll have the opportunity to influence how energy is generated, ensuring it aligns with community values and needs.

Workshop Details

These engaging workshops will take place over three consecutive Wednesdays:

Wednesday, 19th March 2025, 6pm to 9pm

Wednesday, 26th March 2025, 6pm to 9pm

Wednesday 2nd April 2025, 6pm to 9pm

Each session will run at Crich Glebe Community Centre. Complimentary refreshments provided.

These sessions are open to everyone living, working, or studying in the Crich area. We aim to foster a diverse and inclusive environment, welcoming participants from all age groups, backgrounds, and professions. Local landowners, farmers and community leaders, especially those that manage community buildings, are particularly encouraged to join, as their insights are invaluable to this conversation.

Why Participate?

1. Have Your Say: This is your chance to voice your opinions and ideas about how our community can transition to low-carbon energy sources.

2. Learn and Collaborate: Engage with others who are passionate about sustainability, learn from experts, and collaborate on innovative solutions.

3. Shape the Future: Contribute to a comprehensive report that will outline recommendations for local energy generation, helping reduce our community's carbon footprint.

Be Part of the Change

By participating in these workshops, you will help create a detailed energy vision that reflects the community's aspirations for a cleaner, greener future. Your involvement will not only impact our local area but also contribute to a broader movement towards a sustainable, low-carbon countryside.

Mark your calendars and join us in crafting a sustainable energy future for Crich and its surrounding areas. Together, we can make a difference!
